The long-awaited debut of the sequel to James Harden’s adidas signature shoe may be coming soon. As part of the brand’s epic “Calling All Creators” spot that was unveiled yesterday, adidas quietly debuted the Rockets star’s new sneaker in a bright orange melon upper with tropical graphics and a black Boost composition. The low-cut sneaker, which has been previewed months ago, features a mesh-based upper with a toe fortified by additional stitching embedded into the shell, while the heel of the sole traction wraps upwards to give Harden’s signature euro-step maneuvers some added stability.
This profile look has what appears to be Harden’s Adidas logo on the tongue, which corroborates the idea that this is a signature offering for the Houston Rockets star. The toecap is blocked off not unlike that on Harden’s first Adidas silhouette, the Harden Vol. 1, and the model uses Boost cushioning in the midsole.
The first pair of the adidas Harden Vol. 2 comes in an Orange finish complimented by the graphic design on the cage overlay.
Features on the shoe include the Harden medallion logo on the tongue, a sock-like bootie, side panel overlays that are also part of the lacing system, a Primeknit-constructed toecap and a super chunky Boost midsole and rubber outsole.
